Here are some words from Doug Mitchell's son Allan Mitchell,
My father was Doug Mitchell, a Guitar maker in Brisbane who made over 1200 premium classical guitars from the early 70s’ as well as numerous steel, dreadnought, and other acoustic guitars, Lutes, banjo mandolins, and the like. In his heyday his premium classical guitars were selling around $4000 (1980’s), second hand now are in the range of $2500 to $6000. The later models were made in the Greg Smallman style with lattice-reinforced tops and were concert standard guitars.
This guitar was made in 1975 and has a Sold Cedar Top with Extremely rare Brazilian Rosewood Back & Sides. There is a crack on the back that has been repaired. You can see the crack but it is stable. It does come with a very basic wooden hard case.
